- In Opera 12 you could quickly change between spellchecker languages. Very helpful when you post in German and English. Opera 15 (on Mac OS X) uses the same heuristic to guess which language you are typing as the other two. Nice idea — but only works for words you type correctly. For faulty words the system can't figure out which language was actually meant which is turn means: No useful suggestion to correct you typo.
- In Opera 12 you could set minimum font size. Helpful if your eye sight is not quite perfect. Or you have a high dpi monitor and the Web-designer used px instead of pt.
- In Opera 12 you could deactivate animated pictures. Very helpful if you don't like movement on your webpage. In Opera 15 this is gone. You could use one of Chrome Plugins which upon pressing ESC stops animation in about 60% of cases.
Conclusion: There is not reason any more to use Opera over Chome or Safari. All three only distinguish themselves in the design of the title bar.
